Brian , I am posting these for you to see. This is all I have in my possession from my Uncle Edmund. I thought it would add a little meaning to the things we collect.
First is a photo taken December 2 1942 in England as it is dated on the back. and wrttien to my Grandmother Katie, his older sister.
His nickname was spelled Munchy ,but the family called him MoonchyComment

My Mom who is 80 saved this stuff. She was only a 16 yr old teenager during the war when he was killed. I believe she has some censored letters from him including his final one written before but, received after he was KIA.
Family History has always been he was killed at St Lo.Comment

If you noticed one of the posts he was listed as the 67th soldier from Perth Amboy, NJ to be KIA . Perth Amboy , NJ. was a blue collar town mostly factory workers back then.Comment

Nice collection. You may find this of interest -- I found this german helmet at yard sale on Cape Cod, personalized by a 29 I.D. vet.
