Jesse Owens, a black athlete from the United States, was the star of the 1936 Olympic Games. Owens, the "Tan Cyclone," brought home four gold medals: the 100-meter dash, the long jump (made an Olympic record), the 200-meter sprint around a turn (made a world record), and part of the team for the 400-meter relay.

Here is the medal bar of a German WWI veteran and policeman that undoubtedly served in his official capacity at the 1936 Olympic Games.

              Best regards,
              Tom

Tried many times but it is nearly impossible to find any of them. I would really like one from Moscow-80. It was extremely interesting time in Moscow!

The Olympic games decoration was instituted in 1936 to reward effots that contributed to the Berlin Olympics. My type is a miniature of the second class there was also a first class that was worn round the neck (just like a Knights cross is).I belive Himmler recieved a first class award as he was the head of security for the Games and also a chap (i forget his name) made a propogander film of the Olympics and he also recieved a first class,Just to give you an idea of the reasons for the award.

Please correct me if im wrong.
