Next we have 3 armbands, first pattern fire guard(yellow on blue, when fire guards were part of civil defence organisation)
Fire guard,(white on blue, used after 1943 when they became independant of civil defence).
Civil defence(mainly used prior to issue of uniform and sometimes afterwards contrary to regulations!)

        Hi Andy,

I've never seen a tin like that before. If you keep on adding to your collection like this you'll have no space left !!!

        Keep 'em coming.

        Kind regards,

        Marcus

          Andy,

You have some great stuff in your collection. I've just started looking for home front/ARP items after I bought a childs "Mickey Mouse" gas mask this weekend (I already have a couple of other gas masks). The guy also has some ARP badges like the ones you posted. I think I might pick them up this weekend, any chance you could post a reverse shot of the badges you have so I can see the male/female differences.

          Best Regards

          James

Andy! Great pics. I never knew that ARP badges were Sterling and you can tell the date by the hallmark!!
            Ta mate.

              Nice collection Andy!!

I've got the same special services gasmask as yours (not in this condition though) but i always thought it was a modern (after 1945) mask, now i can get it out of it's bag, make it dust free and add it to my collection

                Hello Again!

I'm back with more new stuff.
                Firstly,an SFP(Supplementary/street fire party) armband.
This shows signs of the later fire guard patch having been applied and then removed.

Finally,we have a civilian gasmask, nothing unusual about that, but it came with the little tin containing the anti-dim cloth,i've never seen a gas mask that came with this before.

Lastly, here is a picture of the anti-dim cloth itself,it looks like a mint example.
                              As usual any comments appreciated.
                              Kind regards,

                                Hello mate,

Well I've been off line for a few days and haven't caught up with your collection mate. Blimey you're going from leaps to bounds to jumps ! Take a pic of the whole collection as it is at for this year, a collective photo then when you compare next year if you keep going at this rate of knot's you'll need a wide angle camera !

I'm impressed Andy all this is a short space of time.

                                Your mate,

                                Marcus
