Hi Andy, the collection is going from strength to strength! I do like the anti dim tin ( I have a fetish for tins ) and these are scarce.
    Cheers, Ade.

OK, only a couple of new items to add at the moment.
First is a Special Constabulary medal with wax packet and box of issue.

Next is an Emergency Fire Brigade Organisation medical first aid outfit.
I picked this up for £9 at a local antique fair, the only contents in it at the time were some ampoules of aromatic ammonia, various splints and a pair of cotton web straps.
The rest of the stuff i've added myself from period first aid kits that I found on ebay and spares that I had in other first aid kits.
Still a long way to go with this project though!
Any info anyone has on the emergency fire brigade organisation would be welcomed as I've never heard of it before and can find no reference to it in any of my books!
        Kind regards,
        Andy

The tin itself (rather like a large toolbox!) and contents that i've added.
Some of the contents i've added don't match the list exactly, this doesn't matter as contents were replaced after use from whatever source was available, even though they were supposed to obtain them from an official source,(well, there was a war on you know!!)
If anyone reading this has any British civilian bandages etc from the second world war,or any of the items listed on the contents label that they would like to sell please contact me!
          As usual,all comments appreciated!
          Kind regards,
          Andy

            Hi Andy,

I like the Specials box ! You'll have to get the other one now in a box. When are you getting the extension built on the house.

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

                Hello!

I'm back with yet more new stuff for the collection!
This is a 'Minimax' ARP first aid case,a little battered but I had to have it as i've never seen one before.
Here's an inside pic showing the contents that came with it.

Here is the bag/sack it came in,i'm guessing that this was made specially for the tin as it fits perfectly!
There are two 'pockets' in the bag as you can see from the picture, although I have no idea what these would have contained, can anyone help?

Next is a picture of the Fire Brigade first aid tin (mentioned earlier in this thread) as it stands now.I've added lots of contents to it but it's still far from full, although it's an improvement on the earlier pics when it was bare!

Hi Andy, yet more additions! Well done

The webbing "bag" is actually a 1937 pattern "Small Pack" . This was the pack worn by all branches of the Army. The sling you have is correct too, which allowed it to be worn on the hip instead of the back. These go for around £15 now.

I will have to photo mine as I have all the contents

                          Cheers, Ade.

I'm back again with more additions to the collection which arrived this morning!
                            Lots of documents dating from 1942-1945 consisting of;

ARP wardens duty roster for air raid post 'c'
NCC-CD blank allowance claim forms for volunteers
Pad of blank wardens report forms
ARP balance sheet, lists things such as sugar and tea,and a new kettle, provided by Mr Tidd!!The sheet is signed off in 1945,with the remaining balance plus the sugar and tea going to the local POW fund!!
                            ARP badge reciept(blank)

                            Here are the pics.

2.NCC-CD docs,I'm presuming that NCC stands for Norfolk County Council,CD for Civil Defence.
