    103 Iron Crosses

Most of my collection is boxed up right now as I'm working away, but I still have some items out back home. Last time I was back I hauled them out and got a few shots. These pics aren't great as I had to take them indoors with bad lighting. They show my Iron Cross collection, which has now broken the 100 barrier. There's a mixture of 1914s and 1939s. I hope to have better shots soon. First, a case of 1914 EK2s, along with some minis.

Fifteen more 1914 EK2s without ribbons. Most are maker marked.

My case of 1939 EK2's and EK1s. This case is crowded now and will have to be broken up soon. If anyone wants a better look at these examples in this case, each and everyone of them is posted seperatly, with decent pictures on this thread here:

          Steve,

Very nice setup! I have just recently caught the Imperial Cross bug, so feel free sell some to me.

I also put my cased crosses out for a look. Again poor photo. These crosses are shown in the display cases in the other pictures.

That was a quick response, thanks. I just can't sell my babies. I do have a couple of duplicate EK2s however. Hmmmm?

The title "103 Iron Crosses" caught my attention immediately, so of course I had to look.

I know the feeling, I don't think I could give up my babies either.

So Steve, what is the focus of your collection?

                      Great start Steve!

Now to be a well rounded Iron Cross collector you need some 1813's, 1870's and some '57s.

                      Well done.

I've actually tried to buy a couple of 57's but missed out. As for 1813s, come on, i don't think it will ever happen. I wouldn't know where to start. can you even buy a good one? An 1870 EK2 will be in the case soon, as for a 1st class, again, where would I start. One of these days hopefully. Thanks guys.
