    Impressive collection, that mound of daggers is hurting my eyes

          It's post war... and post Communist...

          My grandfather bought it for me in 1994 visting relatives.

          I didn't have the heart to get rid of it... since he took great effort to look for stuff for me in Poland, and has since passed away.

          I am looking for a pre-War model... like the type he wore in the Polish Army during the war... but.. NO LUCK

                Thanks guys for the comments...

                I have been collecting since 1981...... but... from between 1988 to 2000.... I was preoccupied with another hobby... and my military stuff sat idle.

                I got "serious" about five years ago.

                When I started collecting again in 2000.... I thought German helmets were still about $125 to $200 !!!

                I still don't really know the value of patches and medals. I am still in the mid-1980's in terms of value.

                                We all had to start off somewhere.

                                My first German helmet was $10 in 1982 (M35).... the second (M16)... was $2 in 1983... at yard sales.
