    Tram conductor's hat

This visor is for a tram conductor (In German: Strassenbahn Schaffner) Light municipal rail service .
I have the hat + tunic + pants all from the same owner BUT no clue which city in Germany... These usually came without chinstrap and are the old fashioned 1930's teller shape!

                    Brunswick traditions skull

Brunswick traditions skull. One bone is damaged...This skull device is salty...and is very early, possibly even ww1 era, seen better days but still looks cool (on a WW2 hat)!

                      relic helmet 1

This is a fixed bale US Navy helmet (outer pot only) and the story is that it came from Normandy. I can not proove that it indeed was used on one of the landing beaches, but it does have battle damage big time! Take a look! Note top: schrapnel hole... OUCH!

                        another view

Note the front, also been hit! (just a dent...did not go through!). So Normandy story that came with the helmet could be true, its definitely been in a hot zone, like an assault beach (D-Day)! WHo knows?

                              My Remi Schrijnen collection

Here's my Unterscharfuhrer Remi Schrijnen collection, (Flemish Legion and later Langemarck knights cross winner), all signed and personally dedicated to me, while he was still able to correspond prior to his death in 2006. Remi's "PAK fuhrer" (Gun commander) shares my last name! If you read his book you'll know the name. In one picture he signed "TapferheitsUnterscharfuhrer" which translates "courage sergeant", meaning he got his NCO status through heroism in battle (a field promotion), instead of attending a regular NCO school (unterfuhrer lehrgang)!
