    Canadian Medical doctor, a ww1 veteran based on his ribbons and he continued serving as a Medical Corps major in ww2. Most likely a professional soldier. His Battle Dress is 1940 dated but has late (UK made) canvas shoulder titles!

      The fabric tag is like those seen on British BD's. Later the Canadians simply ink stamped such information straight on the lining material

            Some RAF related insignia including top righ another printed canvas (rank) insignia of a RAF airman. The oval shaped Canada RCAF gull insignia with blue back grounds are post war issue...!
