This is my Japanese infantry bicycle. I bought it in 2006 and its been in storage in Florida, but its coming to California this year so I can start fixing it up!
This is an official government issue bicycle and no doubt brought back to the States by a vet. There are few official bikes like this on these shores!

This 1940's Japanese bicycle is tagged "Gunsei", which I found out is not a commercial brand, but its Japanese for "military Government" or "Military Administration", so its for sure an official Japanese army bicycle, kind of like what the German army called "truppenfahrrad".
I would like to restore it as accurately as possible! (unfortunately its missing its heavy duty luggage rack, saddle and no tires)
SOrry for the bad quality...its a scan...the bike is not in my possession yet...

Here's an article on another Japanese infantry bicycle, which was sent to me in 2006
(appeared in a 1998 edition of Banzai magazine)
