I finally got part of my collection set up for display. Still not enough room as I only have about a third of it out. The rest is in boxes. Here goes

Nice collection Brad! I really like those unit-painted M1 helmets you have. Is that swastika you have mounted on the wall from the tail-fin of an Me-109?

                      Tail section

The guy who tore it off the plane wrote on the back that it was from a FW-190, I'll take a picture of the back tomorrow. I think he may have ben mistaken and it may be from an ME-109.

                        Hi Brad,
I love all those M1s you have. Can we see some pictures of the USCG one? That one just leaps out at me in your photos.

                          Coast Guard Helmet

Here you go Jeremiah, I think I may have shown this one before. It belonged to chief Boatswainsmate Charles M. Campen. He wore this helmet on D-Day on the LCI-91. The LCI-91 was hit by German mortar and artillary fire. 18 US army soldiers were killed and the 91 was destroyed. I also have his Coast Guard service file, a few of his uniforms and a 48 star flag from the 91. This is probably my favorite piece in my collection.
