Update to my collection of helmets, field gear, damaged items, and items of interest.

I am on the bored side these days, so have decided to start a new thread with my collection. I have no digital cameras, so many of the pictures have already been posted in other threads of this forum some recently, and some not so recently. If you find the things interesting, say so, as it will encourage me to post more stuff in the future.
So that you can look thru the thread at the parts that interest you, first I will post WW1 items, then Axis WW2, and then Allied WW2, and then the things I will have forgotten about when posting.
There arent many extraordinary pieces posted, but remember, the vast majority of these items, I pulled out of the woodwork myself, and only very few things come from local fellow collectors.

First up, general view of my favorite WW1 items, mostly French.

Closer view. The helmet with CMG initials was found in Canada, and was apparently owned by a soldier of the Lord Strathcona Horse, according to the person who gave it to me. The primitive looking gas mask in the middle is the French M2 model, suprisingly, it was much more effective and lasted longer then the German Gummimasken and Lederschutzmasken.
The French helmet is a standart WW1 infantry helmet, as is indicated by the simple grenade insignia.

Close up view of a battle damaged plate and drinking cup, that a French soldier kept as souvenirs. The original owner is the first in the lower row of standing men in the picture. The little pensil butts are the remains of pensils he wrote home with.

Manikin dressed in French WW1 items. The great coat is the end of 1915 model (at the start of the war, the French had dark blue greatcoats, and their famous and ridiculous red pants). I admit this mankin looks pretty pathetic.

And the dioramas now semi famous dead and mummified rat. I admit this rat is seriously repulsive. Thats why its there. It also keeps unwanted women, mothers and grandmothers out of the "museum".

And I almost forgot, more WW1 helmets and equipement. The gas mask to the left is the german Lederschutzmask, and the french one posted in the initial pictures was suprisingly more performant!
Note the bullet hole in the helmet to the right.

German WW2 items. All the items here were found in the same ex-mass grave of Germans killed by US troops in southern France in 1944.

Close up. Note the condoms, and the rear end of a US rifle grenade, that killed one of the soldiers.
