Visiting card of the Adjutant of Reichsführers-SS

    Howdy guys.

I'd like to ask your opinion about this rather odd piece. I was offered this visiting card which supposedly was given to a painter student who fled to Sweden from Berlin just after the war started in 1939 so, she could use this card in a case someone tried to give her hard time during her trip. Later her son had found this card between some book pages after his mother passed away and it was sold through a auction. Is this story believable, I don't know, but my concerns are following:
1- Hajo = Hans-Joachim, so why would official visiting card have his nickname instead of the real name?
2- Apparently Hajo was promoted to SS Obersturmführer in 1937 and again to SS Hauptsturmführer in 1938, so why would Himmler's adjutant use Visiting cards with his old rank still in 1939?
3- Have you guys ever seen a real SS visiting cards and do they look like anything similar?
4- I could not find any mention, that Hajo served as a adjutant to Himmler. His SS-nr. might be 203 257 tho.

All the best and thank you!

I cannot comment on the authenticity of the card or the plausibility of the story behind it, but as for the hard data:

Von Hadeln had served with Himmler's Chefadjutantur from 12 June 1936 on. He was Himmler's 1. Adjutant and was succeeded in this position by Joachim Peiper in June 1939.

    His promotion dates were:

    - 20 April 1936 - Untersturmführer
    - 20 April 1937 - Obersturmführer
    - 9 November 1938 - Hauptsturmführer
    - 9 November 1941 - Sturmbannführer

The colloquial contraction of Hans-Joachim to "Hajo" is not a problem. He is even listed as "Hajo" in the SS-Dienstalterslisten.

      Thanks
I guess it is near impossible to be sure about the originality without the possibility of comparing it with confirmed period example. Interesting story tho
