                    Schumine wooden mine

                    Hi,

I have one by the same maker but it is "pwu 44".

The "p" is clearer on mine, but the first "4" is also indistinct. The book says "pwu" is unknown but is attributed to this type of mine.

What's one of these worth, with a fuze but no dummy charge?

                    Regards,

                    Grossfuss

Some great examples here guys, thanks for posting. The only bad part is for me, after seeing all these pictures I looked at the example I've had in my collection for many years, and the constructions characteristics are very different. I think mine is a repro.

You are certainly right, mine could be also marked "pwu 44".

Well I am fairly confident mine is a repro, but before I trash it, I wanted to get confirmation from you guys just in case. I bought it on the e-stand about 6 years ago. Here it is...

                              HI,
I agree with Oberjaeger, the latest one shown is a repro.
Have a look on the vertical parts of the cover. They shouldn't have the same thickness.
                              Sorry for you.
                              Regards
