km dagger with different etching

A fellow of mine came over this eickhorn kriegsmarine dagger. I have never seen this etching type before. What do you think?

How did you determine that this was made in India?

My feeling came from the belly, but i a discussion that's usable as an argument, so i would like to know what you look for at this blade..?!

But it was probably made in Solingen, Germany. Certainly not in INDIA!
