Why oh why? Such a shame.

Either the guy died and the ORDERS were returned to the Orders chanceary or a moron ripped it and sold it separately.
Still a nice Prussian Beamten bar.

    Best regards

I think the orders were removed. Since there is an Hindenburg on there that would date it post war. Weren't the orders chancelories gone after WWI?

Isn't it nice to have some "spare parts" . . .

                  Spare parts are helpful, yes.

... and a soldering iron, some bubble gum and a tube of Super Glue makes the job easy.

                  Just kidding.

The pin on the reverse and gravity are holding it together. Nothing permanent has been done here.

But how do you like the handiwork?

You think I can get my old job back with Uncle Albert?

The HK has a maker mark:

(see the crown order here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=85174)

(see the red eagle order here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=85250)

                      Thanks for looking, guys.

                        Nicely done!

Nicely done Ralph, nicely done! The tag on that bar matches the tag on the Aviator set I have cased. He was a busy guy and proud of his work. I've seen at least a dozen medal bars over the years with his tag on them. Great Job!
