Deumer Spange combo - a dual clamshell screwback piece

    Hello all,

Just picked up this lot and wanted to share with everyone. Pretty sure the Spange is a rarity of some sort. Has anyone ever even seen an authentic dual clamshell setup like this before?

        dual

That is a beautiful spange set and the first one I have seen. The two second class spanges look like S&L. Jim

again, never seen anything like that, surely special order
as a Deumer spange lover, that's truly a total mindblower!
Never thought I'd see anything so nuts and legit

Are you sure "factory-made"? Maybe soldered to each other by request of the owner when purchased as two awards (?)

The screw on the EKI is too low for the two to have been mated. Normally the screw is in the center. Jim

Yes, and it doesn't look to have started life in any other position so looks factory made.

Wow! A first for me too... It looks as if there is enough of a gap between the 2 screw disks that this set up would have worked well even if the 2 screws had been centered in the EK & the spange as you normally see on factory screwbacks and just solder them together to make the combo. The EK 1 with the offset screw denotes this is really something special/custom.

Congratulations William for this really nice find!
