                    This is the first pattern of Heer camouflaged smpck, introduced in 1943 and worn on several pics of "GD" by members with camo helmet cover during Kursk battle, hence often named by collectors with reference to this unit.

                    I think there is a detail of construction wrong on this one, but avaible pics don't clearly show any lateral wiews and the lower sides of the skirt, just under the waist strap tunnel untill the lower edge of the smock.

                      from an early issue (1986) of the French Militaria Magazine (#15) !
                      The author of this article has used some reenactors dressed with originals splintern Heerestarnjacken for explaining that they were more used at first by members of the "Grossdeutschland Division" on eastern front
