I hope the seller wasn't simply aware of that the cover is bad ( wrote him about that ) and offer it for sale without any bad intetion.

I do agree, this cover is a reproduction. Beware of this one!

Yes, this is definitely a repro. The construction is nowhere close to German WW2 standards. The bottom leather strip (the pointed piece) is never constructed this way.
