    Hello everyone,

I would be very interested in your thoughts on this lot.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that they are all fantasy items.

I agree, as well. I wonder whether these could have been made for one or other of the post-war 'Fourth Reich' fascist organizations that sprang up in the 1960s? These pieces do seem well-made.

Yes, I particularly like the one on the right with the imperial non com EKII ribbon, but sadly all fantasy stuff.

            Hi Klaus,

Will those be offered in the future? I looked at your webpage but found nothing of this sort.

            cheers

            Matt

The one on the left does seem to have an original center from an early NSDAP supporter badge so I do suspect these are not fantasy items even though they do give that impression at first glance. If you study them closely the enamel is well executed as is the die work. I would like to know more about these.

The award you are referring to is the only one there that I have seen before, or something very similar. I seem to remember a group of 3 or 4 (not on WAF) all with different enamel centres and all were fantasy pieces. The party supporters badge on that one could well be original, but there have been very good fakes of those around since the late 1960s. The whole group makes a nice display, but I honestly believe that none are original TR and probably date from the 1970s.

                  Thanks everyone.

They look to be very well done so my first thought was why would someone do fantasy pieces from that quality? We might never found out. I was under the impression they could be period time made for some sort of a private organization. Maybe for women?

One more information which of course does not help authenticating these awards:
These medals came out of the estate of a Generalmajor lately. There were tons of paperwork and I only did two quick photos with my mobil.

The last one looks like a mother cross thats been pimped. It looks like there is a little blue emenel on the end of the arms where the black starts, right?

First one looks like some kind of third reich Wilhelmskreuz.

                    Ribbons looks nice, very nice.

So it's a Mothers Cross with swords for combatants? I agree about the ribbons though.

Yep, and on a prussian non comb ribbon just for the glory of satan.

Peter, can you identify all of those ribbons please? I only recognise 2 or 3.

Nope. But i think i have seen the german 1945 victory medal with a ribbon similar to ribbon #1 but i may be wrong on that.

The thing that puts me off them being German IIIrd Reich period is that none of them have anything resembling a 'normal' ribbon suspension system of the period ... maybe some Axis nations prototypes (and I HATE using that word)
