So an original typical KM Administration cap eagle as you can see
            relatively often .
Some says period french made regarding the form ...

                Hello,

I really don't care for the execution, the large bullion or the backing. It looks like I am the only one that doesn't care for it.

Can any of you share pictures of more of this style of breast and cap eagles? What are the charachteristics of these French made eagles? Thanks.

I'm with you Fred. The swastika is large bullion........too large and too loose. The gilding is too dull and not "gold" enough. I stay away from these. I doubt they are French made............The "honest" French made Kriegsmarine eagles are not bullion in construction.

                    Hello,

I am very interested in seeing more of these French made eagles. I am not familiar with them and would like to see some more examples. Did they make them for the Heer? Thank you.

                      Hello,

I really am interested in learning more about these eagles. I pm'ed the other 3 members that responded in the positive on these and another eagle collector that I know.

What are the characteristics of a French made bullion eagle? Do any other members out there have some to post? I am really interested in learning more about this style of eagle. Thank you.

                      Fred

Here are 5 examples of bullion hat eagles with the tighter construction and smaller bullion threading used for the swastikas.

                          Hello Tim,

Thanks for posting those eagles. The original one posted has only one type of bullion and the small line across the top of the wing where each of yours has at least two. One the original one posted also uses only thread to highlight the wing segments and the wreath. All of yours have at least the wreath ribbon at the bottom in bullion.

It is my understanding that the French produced eagles were made after 1940 when bullion had already been replaced with cellon by the Kreigsmarine. Here is an example of a French made eagle from that era. I would also check the back of French made eagles to see how they use fabric.
