                Yes, as usual Ian nailed it. The insignia and cap are 100 percent original.

                  The only thing that can be hard to know is when the insignias were sewn on.
                  A lot of these caps were found without insignias.

                        Absolutely correct and as these insignia are machine-sewn to the cap it will be immediately obvious if the skull was sewn through the liner.
