I say early postwar. A couple of these popped up a few years ago here on the WAF, from a guy in Austria I think.

                Hello Gene,

it was the discussion or they were on e-stend?

                Best regards,
                Sergey

That must have been before my time. I would be interested to learn more about that obviously.

I seem to remember there were two caps posted for comment, and they ended up on the e-stand. Don't remember much else.

I did a quick search on the maker but couldn't find the thread.

                          Hello Adam,

Thank you for your interest and assistance.

About this manufacturer on the net I found only this:

                          http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeige...410491-154-967

It would be nice to ask the manufacturer. Whether it is his work, and when it's done?

                          Best regards,
                          Sergey

Could that tag be a transplant ???....as "Pelze" in German means furs....just like the fur coat link!
but for it to be added...the liner must have been opened up...??? but it does not appear to have been...

Maybe during the WW2, this manufacturer carried out private commissions for making military uniforms and headgears IMHO
