    SS/SA Tradtional DLV Badge

I just purchased this from a collector friend (and can return it for a refund). My friend acquired it along with several items from a veteran's family. All the other items are original. In addition, this item was taken to the SOS and was given a thumbs up by an acknowledged authority. However, it is a variation different than the so-called "textbook" version. With the strong provenance plus the positive feedback at the SOS, I am strongly inclined to think it is original. Nevertheless, I am posting it here for further opinions. All comments are welcome and your feedback is much appreciated.

        Hello,
Here is one I got with 3 others directly from a vet family in Eupen - Belgium. Very similar of yours if not the same.
Anyways, they are so much unknown, are they also faked ? I hope no....

Is the group consesus that the item is authentic?

I'd want to know before I put it on the e-stand.

                    Your example is original IMO.

These are faked, and from what I understand, the fakes are very well made. The only obvious difference is the size of the piece. This is not a comment on the badges presented here, but only a comment regarding the question of fakes.

It's unlikely that you will ever get a definitive answer, due to the rarity, and the fact that even these 3 are fairly different from each other. Whomever buys such an item is taking a risk, but that's the nature of exceedingly rare items.

I would say repro, because you do not have the stitching on the inside and outside of the outer circle
