        Unissued 2nd pattern war surplus sun helmet. The "Germany" stamp denotes this helmet was for sale post war to the USA as an import. These were sent to the US and sold for around $14 back in the 60's. The "Germany" or "Made in Germany" stamp lowers the value considerably to most collectors.

                Why bother when you can pickup an original DAK 1st pattern cloth helmet that did see service in Afrika for a few dollars more....save your money.

                Salty tropenhelms that have seen service in Afrika are valued for between $160 to $350. These surplus unissued 2nd patterns seem to sell for $200 to $350 ? i've no idea why anyone would even bother to own one, jmo
