    Vaulted IAB in Silver help

Hi Guys - I have just come across this nice, vaulted, unmarked IAB in Silver. Can anyone tell me about the maker? It appears to be a relatively early award.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's a good IAB in the so called SHuCo. design and i would date it mid war.
      Best regards, Andreas

        Hi Brian,

I would tend to agree with Andreas on this one, a fine original and would place it in mid-wartime as well (1942 or so).

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Guys - Thanks for the feedback. This IAB came with a few other things, including an IAB citation from January 1942. So, you guys are right on.

          Appreciate the help!

            Hi Brian,

Would love to see the citation if you don't mind posting it.

            Thanks

Here is the document that it likely came with. It is a nice, ornate version at A4 size. The recipient served with 71. ID (a unit that was later destroyed at Stalingrad). The IAB is likely related to the fighting with AGS in the vicinity of Kiev the previous year as 71. ID was pulled from the lines in November after suffering heavy losses. They were recuperating in Belgium and returned to the lines in the spring of 1942. Busche did not suffer the fate of his division as he was wounded in action in June and likely never returned to his unit.
