    Studentenbund buckle

Just received this Studentenbund buckle. From what I can see it compares favourably with one of the 2 variations posted by Marc in this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=danzig .

I would appreciate any comments in case it needs to be returned.

    Cheers
    Don

Thank you for your reply David.

I had high hopes for this one, especially after finding Marc's earlier thread. Even some of the marks i.e the lines on the top left edge of the reverse are present on both mine & the top buckle of Marc's

            Thanks again
            Don

I hope that the attached NS Studentenbund may be of interest, by comparison.

              Regards,

              David

                    Hello Gentlemen,

Some 15 years after I bought this piece it's time to find it a new home as well as the few other buckles I own.

As I'm out of touch when it comes to buckles can anyone give me an idea of a fair price to ask for it?

                    Thanks

                    Don

Emedals has over 1400 buckles in their archives. It is a decent source for buckle prices. A lot of these came from John Angolia's collection. Three of these Studentbund buckles sold at $600, $650 and $373. The $373 buckle was a great deal for someone, as more collectors found out about the auction the prices raised. Angolia should have gone on the forum and let people know about the auction. I missed out on some buckle I would have bid a lot more than they sold for.

Time passed. Can anyone, considering today's knowledge confirm it's originality? And also by the way the Studentenbund from the same seller?
                          Thank you
The NPEA buckle shown by this thread is original…..as already said.
