    Hi Guys,

I would like to show you my new tombak Schwerin Marine Artillery Badge.
Are there different types of these awards or is just this one known?
    Thanks in advance!

I hope you like it and opinions are welcome!!!

          Hi Sven,
There are two different obverse dies.

You have very nice tombak Schwerin CAB
          Cheers,
          Hubert

            Hi Sven,

            Great badge!

Like Hubert says, there are two obverse dies for the zincers but only one that we know for the Tombak version. It appears that die continued in use in the zinc era before the introduction of the second type without the gun rivet (seen in the other thread for which Andjelo posted the link).

As far as the Tombak version goes, there are three hinge pin variants similar to what is seen in the Tombak Schwerin U-Boat badges: round-head, waffle-head and headless, probably in that order chronologically. They all seem to have the flat-based catch suggesting that Schwerin had already made that transition prior to the introduction of the Marineartillerie Badge in mid-1941.

            Best regards,
            ---Norm

                Sweet Schwerin.

A lovely example of a Schwerin Tombak CAB.
Looks to be a very Merry Kriegsmas with your CAB hanging from the tree.
