My focus of collecting is the sippengemeinschaft aspects of the ss and this photo album of the Wedding of ss Obersturmfuehrer and Kriminalkommisar Alfred (DOB 5/20/1914 in Ludwigsburg) and Irene Hagenlocher is for me a wonderful item to examine. So I thought to share now with the forum some of the album.

Alfred was in the SD-Sicherheitspolizei / Grenz Polizei and Geheime Staaspolizei in Karlsruhe accroding to his personnel file.

The Teller seen in the photo during the wedding ceremony is especially interesting!

Geez, that's the most depressed bride and groom (and wedding party) I've ever seen.

there's a couple happier ones in which they and the wedding party are smiling in the album but this just shows the seriousness with which the wedding ritual was undertaken. It was a serious moment in their lives and they had the proper respect for the gravity of the moment of coming into the ss sippe as husband and wife.


I hate how I have to mark up the images with watermarks but this is done to protect the community of collectors from scam artists.

Alfred Hagenlocher personnel file

Alfred Hagenlocher was born 20 May, 1914 in the city of Ludwigsburg in the State of Wuertemburg. He joined the HJ in Jan 1930 to 1931. Joined the SS in Jan 1931 of which membership pre-dates military service and early enough to wear the Alte Kampfer device on his sleeve. Alfred served in the 13th Infantry Regt Wurtemburg from Jan 1932 to Dec 1933. Joined the Party after joining the SS. Wearing party badge at time of his wedding. Served as Oberscharfuehrer / First Sgt in the "Deutschland" Regt of the SS-VT from Jan 1934 to Jan 1935. Probably an officer candidate with the SS while serving as an NCO. Wedding is probably around 1938-39, is a guess. He married the former Irene GRAF. Hagenlocher wears the black Allgemeine SS/Gestapo uniform with a "GrenzPolizei" cuff-title and SD Diamond. He also wears the Austrian Anschluss medal on his pocket flap which was authorized for wear on May 1st, 1938 and ended wear in Oct 1940. Different cuff titles appear on the officers pictured.
