I have never encountered a printed HJ armband in 45+ years of collecting. That is not to say that they did not exist. However, I would think in my collecting years I would have encountered at least one! I have seen printed political armbands but not HJ.

                  hmmmm.
                  seems OK on construction/fabric/threads etc...
this came from a vet's brother-in-law. He had a few items from him, but had sold or given them away years back. He found this almost accidently while I was 'grilling' his wife about ww2 souvenirs HER brother-in-law had given her...
I believed the story that it came directly from this source, he had zero interest in militaria, or the value, just thought I would be interested...
It would be further interesting to find out more about this.
ANYONE out there with another? or proof or it's existence/non-existence?
                  regards
                  jon

Never seen a printed one before. I will try to scan mine in and post pictures ASAP.

I would say thumbs down, based on my experience

                    here are pictures:

                    Good luck

Nice to see that your position on these armbands is not as intransigent as it once was....

I think this gives perhaps at least food for thought Mike:

I own a regular multi piece construction HJ arm band, but as a makers variation in my collection I also got a printed HJ version and I believe in these... as I've also heard before about these being among vet bring back souvenirs...The one that I own has the swastika emblem showing a dotted line printed (silk-screened) along the edges of the square field, making it appear from a distance as though this part of the armband was stitched on! A very interesting detail ,which I doubt fakers would come up with? and if it was a movie prop why bother? Both Angolia's and Littlejohn's HJ books mention these armbands being produced in different qualities, multi layered designs to include printed... (just like volksturm armbands or political ones apprearing in this economical style)
Sorry I can't post pictures but I can e-mail somebody if you wish to see it.
                              Nick
PS: this thread probably belongs in the political-civil forum, where I had mentioned my variation before...
