Missing/lost or stolen photos from the post

I'm posting some photos that have been missing since January in the hopes that someone may have seen them for sale. I won these photos on ebay and all the sellers said they have posted them to me. Names of the sellers and the date won is on the photos. If anyone has seen any of these photos for sale after these dates please let me know.

              Hi,

post#3 seemed to be taken in Wildflecken ?

Did the sellers sent the pics with tracking numbers ?

              See You

If there are different sellers from different locations, then the problem must be locally with your service. Possibly theft at your local sorting office?

Yes, I have thought of that possibility that the Postman was stealing my photos because all the photos went missing in the same month. Most of them were sent with a tracking number so a notification form should have been left in my mailbox but there wasn't anything in the mailbox. There is also another possibility that someone was stealing my mail from my mail box in front of my home. Very strange as everything since January has shown up.

I just wanted to post them just in case they showed up elsewhere on Ebay or even in another collectors hands.

Shame to hear this BIll! Hopefully they turn up thru an issue with sorting at your local post office. Have you talke to the Postmaster? They may have had an issue you may not be aware of with a delivery person.

                      Good luck! Mike

Post #3 are two HG Portraits? Do you mean #2 (cont'd)? Pz Rgt 7 was in Boeblingen outside of Stuttgart, Germany

                        FOR EVERYONES INFORMATION

A Tracking number is not tracked once the letter leaves Europe (overseas) and arrives for processing in the USA. The USPS does not track foreign mail. They do however leave a notice in your postbox if you are not home and that is when you know an attempted delivery was made on registered mail..otherwise the postman has you sign for the letter upon delivery.

The sender (seller) can only do an inquiry through their respective mail service but that will only tell him/her that the letter arrived in the USA. It does not tell them whether it was delivered or not.

In the case of the Bundespost they will send a letter to USPS international mail inquiry center who in turn sends a letter to the intended receiver (buyer). The letter states info about the registered letter and who sent it (seller) with questions on whether the intended receiver did or did not receive the registered letter. The form letter is sent back postage free to the USPS International inquiry mail center. USPS then replies to the Bundespost. This process is necessary in order to verify receipt/non-receipt and it takes awhile so you have to be patient. If the letter was insured then reimbursement to the seller is made by the bundespost and then hopefully to the buyer.

If the letter is not sent by registered & insured mail (Risiko) then you are SOL unless the seller is sympathetic and reimburses you out of the kindness of his/her heart and takes the loss.

That's what I was thinking, too.

I hope they end up in your hands eventually Bill. The first photo is really nice.

It happened to me more than once but one can comfort himself by knowing that a thief will meet his/her fate and karma will do it's magic.
