A couple of cultural items Part 2

    Dear cultural collectors,

Here is another interesting cultural product of the DHW - a wall tapestry made of german sheep wool decorated with different germanic runes such as Malkreuz, tree of life and of what appears to be an intertwined rune of Hagal- and Ingrune.

This piece was bought in 1940 in Berlin by a young couple as the first piece of interieur decoration for their new home on the occasion of their wedding.

In their booklets the DHW offers these wall tapestries made of german sheep wool and a few pics of some can be found in them as well - but this is the first piece I ever came across and thought pics of it might be welcomed by those here who also admire these period cultural pieces.

Here the runic symbols in detail.

As visible it´s size is in perfect harmony with other DHW products - and a nice addition to shape an individual SS Jul corner of museum quality.

The extremely rare Allach Sachsen-Urne / Saxon Urn with Germanic motifs (K 511) is another fine addition to this SS cultural group and bears similar and even identical runes like the Malkreuz as decoration on it´s surface.

Ahnenerbe scientists were working together with the Allach artists to create a fascinating group of Allach products: the Germanic Ceramics.

The head and curator of the Ahnenerbe was finally Prof. Walther Wüst - here visible on stage helding a speech in Munich about Hitler´s book "Mein Kampf".

Due to the presence of several SS Sturmbann flags and SS-Standarten this has to be judged an official event of highest cultural importance.
