Unmarked Zinc IAB From Vet's Display Board - comments welcome

This IAB has great provenance, having been acquired from the son of the WW2 veteran that once proudly had it mounted and displayed in a special frame hanging on the wall in his den. However, as we all know, legitimate provenance is a good thing, but it is not the final word in determining authenticity.

Before I make a fool of myself by listing this badge for sale on the E-stand, I would appreciate receiving some input from fellow forum members concerning this piece.

I have already posted individual threads about the Kriegsmarine HSF badge and the Luftwaffe AG badge in the appropriate sections:

Please do not inquire about the SS cap eagle in the center of the display - it has been sold already!

A good one. It's a zinc based example of a "pillow crimp" infantry assault, attributed to an unknown maker based on the "Vienna Design".
