I bought this breadbag several years ago as "early BGS breadbag". I know now that BGS never used breadbag like this. Construction is also different from other West German breadbags, that I handled. Buttons, d-rings and material are very different. Is is it possibly TR Reichspost, because of DRP stamp?
The postwar Bundespost had Betriebsicherungsdienst and Katastrophenschutz, that were equipped with field equipment ocassionally, but not aware that these existed between 1945 and before Bundespost established in year 1950 (postwar period when "Reichspost" term was still used). I have seen 1 or 2 similar breadbags and a P08 holster marked "DRP AGSB" in last several years.
Brotbeutel is from heavy grey canvas (maybe slight olive tint, hard to tell), with brown leather parts, that are almost greyish. Stitching seems slightly crude. On back of tab with hook is maker stamp, that I can not read except "München".
Breadbag has no inner dividers. Inside flap is marked "DRP [something crossed out with 3 letters or numbers] AGSB". I assume this for Deutsche Reichspost Augsburg, or? I would think that Postschutz possibily, because normal Post personal has no use for breadbags.
