For your viewing pleasure - DUV 43 G.41 Rifle

Hi, I just acquired this today. It is a DUV 43 G.41. It is all matching with the exception of the missing magazine. It is in good condition and is in original condition. It is missing the front sight post and cleaning rod. It has a name written on the stock, but I'm not sure if that is the German soldier or the American who brought it back. I paid 1/3 of what it's worth, so it's an all-around good day for me!

Does anyone know how much a replacement magazine would go for?

Also, the upper receiver pieces appear to be a bakelite type. Are they replaced or was that common?

In response to some of your questions, the handguard is correct. They were bakelite. It looks like the front sight is complete from your photo but minus a sight hood. Years ago, I obtained them from Sarco. They were repros but much cheaper than originals. As far as the magazine, they show up on ebay or gunbroker. Also check with the folks on the www.gk43forum.com. I believe that there was someone who was making them at one time. Good luck with you rifle. I love the stock. Looks to be unsanded.

Thank you for the info. It is definitely an un-sanded stock. I did some research on the name "Tersko" and found that it is of Georgian-descent. I believe that to be the name of the soldier who brought it back.

I don't know if this will fit, but I never saw one on sale on E**y before.
