    Just imagine the trouble you'd have trying to convince the collecting community of the authenticity of these sleeve insignias / tunics if they were yours.....

              Hundestaffel -- Do you know what these patches represent? Might they
              be foreign volunteer patches for Japanese serving with the German army?
              Obviously "local-made" insignia...

                      Wow. 36 years in this hobby and I had never seen, let alone heard of this insignia.

                      I wonder if they weren't part of some military exchange program with Japan? Chiang Kai Chek's son went thru a similar program before the war (but did not wear Chinese insignia).
