      William,
      These Olympic Officials badges (not participants) appeared in large numbers in the 1970s.....along with many other highly suspect enamel Olympic and other badges....and are not considered original by most!

      Even if it was original....it certianly is worth what the link said!!!!!

      I personally don't believe they are original.....but have no proof unfortunately.

        Thanks for taking the time to help us with this one.

        The reverse mounting plate is like originals but the eagle sure does look cheesy if you ask me! The first photo is of a different badge, and is much "thinner" in obverse design which would suggest a different maker entirely, but why would there be multiple contracts awarded for the production of such a limited-number run? Odd logic. I think your opinion on leaving these alone is some sound advice.
