    1st Type E-Boot Badge

This is my first one that i have been offered at a really good price, i do understand that many collectors poo-poo the 1st over the 2nd but the price is right. This is a very warn example as well, and the pics are not as good.
    Hell i hope it is.............

        Hi Andy,

It looks correct for one of the French "Bacqueville" examples (really poor finish though). I'd read up on the French examples though and make up your own mind, but the questionmarks over the type are probably why the price is "right".

        Regards
        Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

            Hi Andy,
            Good decision to pass on
As Mike has said, it is 'original' French made S-boot but at the same time the most controvesial of any KM makers. For many reasons I personaly do not belive in Bacquevilles at all and it may change only if some new facts in favour of these badges come up.
            Cheers,
            Hubert

On the topic of Bacquevilles, this is kind of interesting. A fake S-Boat with diamonds from a recently posted auction site which is based upon the Bacqueville design. What will they think of next!

                  Best regards,
                  ---Norm
