I've seen these described as a "Columbian parade mauser pouch" definitely not 3rd Riech.......thanks for pics though..

stingray69 - Very interesting indeed!

I have a similar pouch in black. This was recently attributed to the Bundeswehr's honor guard, the Wachbataillon. They were apparently issued for a relatively brief period in the 1970's.

I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of posting a few pictures of your pouch on the Bundesrepublik Deutschland Forum. I'm sure it will be of great interest to the post-war gang.

Team - It's easy to see how the design of the Bundeswehr's G-3 rifle magazine pouch (fielded beginning in 1959) influenced the design of the ceremonial pouches.

Yet the G-3 design is clearly influenced by the M1911 pouches that garner so much attention on this particular forum.
