I would think the case can be repaired with a good wood glue. Of course the value will be way less than a set with a good condition case, even though it can be repaired. You have to think ahead though...when the time comes to sell, will another collector want to buy it with the case repaired?

I take it that the case is original, though damaged, rather than post war. Thanks very much for your assistance which will enable me to decide what price I should go to for it.
