    Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold!

    Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold!

The organization was founded 1924. It was tried to defend the system of the Weimarer Republik vs. political enemies like NSDAP and KPD.

It was the "Bund der republikanischen Kriegsteilnehmer".

I already owned this item....and I was searching for a flag.

Never seen before. A photo with members of the so called "Vortrupp". It was the youth organization of the Reichsbanner.

They wanted a youth, that was ready to fight for democracy.

PS: The photo is also interesting for buckle collectors.

Stefan , again an interesting thread of not well known part of the German history . Most of us have an vague idea of any democratic movement in that time in Germany - we all know more or less about Freikorps , Stahlhelm and many more earlier and later ones ...
Actually I don't sympathize with democracy fighters , but it's very interesting anyway ...
              best regards

                Hi Kornel!

I wanted to show, that there were so many other political organizations during the time of the Weimarer Republik. Many collectors are interested in pieces from the SS, SA, Stahlhelm etc. But in others? The other organizations are in interesting theme, too!

No problem to get an armband from the SA today, but how many armbands from the Reichsbanner do you have seen during last time?

                    Thanks!

PS: Here is another piece for you and other interested collectors.

An armband of the para military section of the Reichsbanner. The SF = Schutzformationen. The KPD had the Roter Frontkämpferbund, the NSDAP had the SA and the RB had the Schutzformationen. They fought against the enemies of the Reichsbanner in the streets, when events were attacked by SA members for example.

I agree completely Sergeant 08 about these items being rare. Great stuff you have there.

Who has ever seen such a badge before?

Is here anybody who can confirm, that the Reichsbanner tried to establish an organization for women in 1926?

Ok, nobody knows more. I found an information that the Reichsbanner tried to found an organization for women in 1926. It seems, it was not really a successful project. Perhaps one of the reasons why it is so hard to find informations about that theme. I guess such badges are not very common pieces.
