My GCs

...Here they are, ...first one is a Godet's cross, connection to Godet was found not long ago, GC matched picture from the period catalog,

Frame is three piece construction, suspension ring is a separate solid piece, core design is kind of flat not like the others.

Next one is a Zimmermann's cross, connection was found in a Zimmermann's burned horde - core and frame. Two piece construction frame on this cross, but there are crosses with the same core and three piece different frame, one in Gordon's "The Iron Cross of 1939" page 33 has a fat dipped in separate solid suspension ring, there is a seam discoloration on the bottom center of that ring visible on both sides, wire was rolled into a circle soldered and then soldered to frames, the same seam discoloration is visible on Bob's Godet's GC. And there is another cross with the same looking core, but the ring attached on top of the frame "Iron Time 2" page 259.

Third is an award type, three piece construction frame with separate suspension ring ,
connection was found in Maybauer's period catalog, ....Thanks to Don again for the picture..........!

It is hard to be 100% sure because core details in catalog's picture almost invisible, but position of the crown and overall shape looks very close and I haven't seen any other type GC that looks like that, ...still unknown if Maybauer is the maker or distributor, and I wonder how Wagner's connection was established.

Core on my cross has a thick layer of paint and it hides some of the sharpness in details, there is a chip on a date and it's visible how thick the paint is.

1870 GC, not an award piece, but from the award maker - whoever it is. Cross has cast iron blackened core, but the frame is two piece construction and stamped out of some alloy most likely neusilber, it doesn't oxidize black like silver, it's staying bright with some yellowish tan.
