Did Souval Make Pre-45 Police LS Awards?

I have a long service police award in each class, all marked on the ring L/58.

Did Souval make these before 1945? If so, I post them for opinions. If not, I won't waste time photographing them.

    Thanks,

    John

Souval made them postwar, listed in his 1971 catalog as,-
    item 8/28 for 25 yrs
    item 8/29 for 18 yrs
    item 8/30 for 8 yrs

They usually came with original ribbons. The 25 yr & 18 yr Crosses were a little bit too heavy, too thick, & the edges were rough w/saw marks. Of course they had the L/58 rings.

I have no idea if they made them during the war.

        Police Awards

I suspect these are the exact L58 post war Souvals. I will post them since Peter wants to see. Thanks for the replies.

          Police LS awards

Here are the three suspected post war Souval Police Long Service awards. The hallmarks on the rings all say L/58, but are too small for me to photograph.

It's important to see the edges of your medals, to see if they have any roughness / saw-marks.

                  Silesien,

On the gold & silver crosses, I see fine lines on the edges, but not on the medal. It's too small for me to photograph, I have to use a big magnifying glass to see them.

Their 8 yr medal didn't have the saw marks, it was smooth like the edge of an original. But I seem to remember it being too thick. All 3 came with a pin sewn onto the back of the ribbons, the pin was not correct & odd-looking. I see by the holes on the ribbons that they've been removed.

Those holes you see were where the ribbons were stapled to a 4 x 8 piece of plywood covered with red felt to display 3rd Reich awards at military shows. Ken Lane had all we needed for the display.
