An oddity for your perusal & review!

I got this a long time ago for very little or nothing. It has a picture of Field Marshall Anton Ludwig August von Mackensen on it and the words around the edge say WAFFENRING DEUTSCHER KAVALLERIE with the outlines of two Iron Crosses at approximately 9 & 3 o'clock, with swastikas at the left and right. The swastikas and the red background appear to be enamel. It's also only about an inch and a half long and maybe a smidge over a half inch high.
There is no maker mark on the back.
    My question is...What is it??

    Thanx,
    Tim

Tim - that's a very nice badge. Shown in Huesken catalogue in a number of patterns. It would be for a cavalry veteran's organizattion.

Thanx guys; I appreciate the help.
I won't even ask what it's worth because I just like it and don't care if it's worth more than a plug nickel. It's just a nice little piece to display with the other stuff.
