Hi,
Just bought this tag from a guy who found it at former NKVD POW camp in Neuhamer.
Guess there is a big chance that it belonged to a Knight's Cross holder Willy Traber who was a commander of 3./Gren.Rgt 309 and got his cross in March 45 after he was promoted to Kdr.I./G.R. 309.
Does anybody have any info on Traber? I remember that in RKT "bible" published by Biblio Verlag many biographies have the Erkennungsmarke signature mentioned. Maybe someone here have some info that could confirm if this tag belonged to Traber or not.
Thanks and regards
Al
