    Special Air Service Wing

    Good Day all,

I wonder if you might assist by taking a look at the attached photos and providing some advice on the type of wing and its quality? I believe it dates from the late 60's/70's. It is attached (sewn and glued) to a late pattern Denison. Thank you!<br><br><a href="http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/?action=view&current=DSCN2786.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/DSCN2786.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><a href="http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/?action=view&current=DSCN2784.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/DSCN2784.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><a href="http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/?action=view&current=DSCN2783.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Sly--Sly/DSCN2783.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

    Hi,
It's not any known pattern that I have ever seen. I would have to say it is a fantasy item.
It is sewn too high on the arm and would not be worn on combat dress.

Agree it's not a pattern seen, though I wouldn't disqualify it based upon it being worn on combat dress or its positioning. Wings were certainly worn on combat /barrack dress, though obviously not in combat itself.
