I also enjoyed this magazine from 1973:

      Bravo!
I have no archaic militaria booklets to add, but as a avowed bibliophile I greatly admire this militaria collecting+ book cross-collection. These old books and magazines are not that easy to come by---I know, I used to look for them. Also, it is very interesting to see how items were presented, and get a peek into the past of the "hobby."
      thanks, Michael

        Hey Jody,

Remember this one! Still a neat little booklet.
Still have both books by Jack Pia on Nazi and SS Regalia.
        Real color photos back then

          Hi Michael,
I am glad you like it. I also love these things, it really shows how our hobby has advanced and even become more sophisticated.

I will post a few more books.

The book Tony has posted is great and actually really very good for it shows real badges. I have that book too.

          Regards,
          Jody

          Here are some price guides.

Here are some great little books by Bob McCarthy. I have the 4 books he produced and I thought I would show a few of the cooler things he put to print.

Look at what McCarthy has to say about the Retired Flyer's badge. One of the few times the case and document are shown (he is correct).

Here is McCarthy from 1980 and he got a better publisher.

Here is a price guide from 1978 that was intended to deceive. Even then the prices were way too low. I must admit I did use this guide from time to time on veterans.

BTW, did anybody know or meet John Kaduck?

Here is the well known 1984 Official Military Collectibles Price Guide. The good old days.

I think Luftwaffe badges have gone up since then.

                          Books

Some book had very little value. Even as a kid I found this SS book worthless. This book was published in 1967.

Here is a rare book that most have never seen. It came out in 1967 and was done by Richard D. Law. Law later wrote a great book on Rommel for Bender Publishing.
