    Artillery Observer Waffenrock

I recently bought these two lovely waffenrock from the eStand. Both were sold by Andrew Lipp, and the transaction went very smoothly.

I am very happy with these tunics. Its not very often you see these boards, and so i had to buy both tunics when they appeared.

The B4 is an issue one, and has nice issue EM eagle and chain stitched shoulder boards. Obviously promoted to NCO at a later date.

The B34 one is privately tailored, and has private purchase embroidered shoulder boards. Also the eagle has been up graded to an officers one.

What i like about these tunics, is that they are both unit stamped, showing that these tunics were always Observers and have not been 'humped' up.

    Hope you like the photos!

Lastly a few photos of my rarer waffenrock shoulder boards.

All these have the same style embroidered boards.

    Enjoy!

Great looking waffenrocks. The hand embroidery on the straps is almost a work of art. I like the way you have them mounted - I mount mine in almost the same manner. I use old blankets to pad out the mannequin and use gas pipe for the stands. I use gray colored felt to cover the top of the neck.

I'm at the point where I'm starting to run out of room for mannequins so I've started to narrow my tunic collecting focus to waffenrocks and ornamented field blouses. I also collect straps & boards and, fortunately, I'll always have room for those.

Unfortunately all my tunics are packed away.

I would not be sad about this, they will last a lot longer in the dark carefully stored. Nice looking rocks!
