It certainly is a beautiful badge, with many lovely features to recommend it!...I have often admired this badge and can say, without vested interest, from seeing it in the flesh on a visit to Hamburg it is superb!
      Cheers, Steve

Indeed a very large chunk of change, but where will you ever be lucky enough to find another one?? Original Heeres Paras are ultra rare to begin with, and this one is even more so because it is the private pruchase example made from real silver. I only know of a handful of these rare beauties.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Indeed! Engraved Silver Heer paras are a breed apart from any other jump badge. Were it not for Eric's book, most would never even see a photo of one, far less the real deal in the "flesh." RKs are common by comparison.

Prices, especially nowadays, are sometimes something really "personal". It's up to us to judge what is cheap and what is crazy. IMHO surely MUCH crazier is a quotation for 600/1000 eu for a Fj badge. They are common, in comparison, you can find them "nearly everywhere".

On some items in particular I believe the seller makes the price, and ..it's just up to the buyer to accept it or not.

Daniele totally agree on the bit about 600/1000 for a FJ badge, I come across many at the 1000 mark, even Detlev las week had one but I'm not parting with that amount for a nice but standard badge when there are so many around, you just need to be patient! Mike

There are two different. Both badges listed in catalog without price but I guess Weitze wants 25K for engraved one.
