Bridge at Remagen....Ludendorff Railroad Bridge .

    Hi guys,

I have always been a fan of the movie " The Bridge at Remagen " so while on my trip to Germany a few years back i had the opportunity to spend a couple of days at Remagen between Bonn & Koblenz on the river Rhine, the bridge always facinated me as it was the last standing bridge on the Rhineā€”it was captured by soldiers of the U.S. 9th Armored Division on 7 March 1945, during Operation Lumberjackfor and to give the Allies the chance to cross into the guts of the Third Reich, there is a small museum located in the exsisting towers of the bridge on the west side of the Rhine river which is worth a visit...some pics to enjoy !
