Name that Ship and its oddity...

Okay, here's my contribution to the KM games.
Here's a photo with a story behind it:

    1) Name the ship.

    2) Name the distinctly odd thing about this picture.

First question probably pretty easy, and the 2nd is more challenging!

    Best regards,
    ---Norm

Well done Dave! Sure are knowledgeable folks on this forum!
Now some followup questions for the others:
      1) Name the ship it was "impersonating".
      2) Name the movie and year of production.
I'll post some followup pics later.
      Regards
      ---Norm

          movie actor

Here's a photo of one of the actors playing a British commander aboard the Bremse.
The next photo I post would be a give-away for the name of the British ship so I guess I'll wait a day or so for any more guesses!
          Regards,

              Der Letzte Appell

The time was the summer of 1939 and it was the filming of "Der Letzte Appell" (The Last Muster) in which the Bremse was disguised as the WWI scout cruiser, the H.M.S. Amphion.

The director of the film was Goebbels' brother-in-law, Max W. Kimmich.

Another couple of shots of the movie crew -- unfortunately I don't know who's who in the photos.
              Best regards,
              ---Norm
